Hi !

I have excel 2003 and excel files that uses RTD server. It works fine, but a few days ago i started to get dialog promp on file start up that says  -"Do you wand to refresh rtd ?" Even if i press YES, RTD in most cases doesnt update data.  How to disable this prompt ?

Hi,

I am not familiar with this prompt - I don't think it comes from Excel itself and certainly not from inside Excel-DNA. Perhaps you have added another add-in that is causing this?

It is also possible to set the RTD UpdateInterval for Excel to a value of -1, which means manual updates for all RTD servers and updated only when Application.RTD.RefreshData is called. You can read more in the RTD FAQ.

In the Excel-DNA distribution, under Distribution\Samples\RTD there is a sample called RealTimeManager.dna which shows how you could set the RTD interval, and trigger a manual update. When loading, it also resets the UpdateInterval when it is loaded.

So I suggest first checking for other add-ins, and resetting the UpdateInterval.

Nothing to do with Excel-DNA, I suspect.
