ExcelEmpty.Value vs vbNullString

I have a UDF that returns an array, in VBA I would fill the unused cells with vbNullString, and they would show as empty cells.
I moved this UDF in Excel DNA and assign ExcelEmpty.Value in the unused part of the array. However in Excel all these cells show up as 0.
Is there an equivalent to returning vbNullString so that it will show as an empty cell?
This is important as I am plotting these celss so teh behavior of an empty cell versus a 0 cell is very different!

I used string.Empty and it worked...
